The Berber, or Ohrenform (German for "ear-shaped") chinrest is a center mount chinrest, providing a large landing area for the chin, but reaches left under the jaw for more security than full-center chinrests. It has a standard bracket, and is available in ebony, rosewood, and boxwood. For 4/4 violin, and for viola with the addition of viola barrels.
