Pirastro Chorda cello strings are authentic strings for baroque instruments. They produce a brilliant, yet soft sound. The A and D strings are composed of plain sheep gut, while the G and C strings are wound with a silver-plated copper wire and are unpolished. The Chorda strings have a very low string tension. They are designed for 440 Hz tuning.

A string: Plain gut (21 PM)

D string: Plain gut (28 1/2 PM)

G string: Silver-plated copper wire over gut (27 1/2 PM)

C string: Silver-plated copper wire over gut (36 PM)

The tailpiece end of the A and D are straight and do not come with a tie knot; the G and C have a tie knot.
